Premifab d.o.o. is the first company in Croatia whose primary activity is waste solvent recovery (R2 standard<\/strong>) and material recovery of other hazardous waste in accordance with strict EU regulations for waste management. We have a clear vision and strategy to become a chemical company narrowly specialized in industrial solvents, and we are already recovering over 2,000 tonnes of solvents annually. We also set a new standard with the highest levels of hierarchy and order of priority for hazardous waste management and are guided by a circular economy model whereby recovered solvents are marketed in the form of different products, thus extending their service life while simultaneously reducing waste.<\/div>\n

SUSTAINABILITY AND RESPONSIBILITY<\/strong><\/p>\n

Waste solvents are limited resources that require proper disposal as hazardous waste. The most common way of disposal is thermal treatment, which causes loss of valuable raw materials and increased environmental impact. Our objective at Premifab d.o.o. is to recover these resources and bring high-quality solvents back to the market by using advanced treatment technologies. Solvents are introduced to a continuous cycle enabling them to remain on the market. Additionally, the cycle plays an important part in environmental protection and energy cost reduction, as well as the reduction in the occurrence of problematic waste. By regenerating solvents we not only protect the environment but also support our clients operational efficiency offering solutions alligned with the principles of a circular economy. This sustainable approach provides multiple benefits – environmental, economic, and social.<\/p><\/div>\n

With waste solvent recovery it is possible to obtain high-quality products with reduced environmental impact. Compared to primary production, recovered solvents generate up to 10 times less CO2 emissions.<\/p><\/div>\n

The site of Premifab in Kerestinec houses a production facility with three distillation plants that perform our core business – the recovery of waste solvents.
\nThe distillation plants are fully automated: automatic control of waste levels in the evaporation tank, timed tank replenishment with new quantities, coolant temperature control by means of a closed-system heat exchanger, and regulation of the entire process by a digital micro-controllers etc.<\/div>\n

We operate our own accredited laboratory to assess the quality of input materials (waste solvents from various industries), the quality of the material during the recovery process, and the quality of the product upon recovery completion before it gets distributed to the customer.<\/p>\n

Our employees who are in contact with hazardous chemicals have received appropriate training for handling hazardous substances, as required by the valid Ordinance on the Conditions for Performing the Activities of Production, Placing and Use of Hazardous Chemicals. As we perform testing procedures for external clients, who may order certain analyses, the laboratory is accredited in accordance with HRN EN ISO\/IEC 17025:2017.<\/p><\/div>\n
