Digital accessibility is an inclusive practice that ensures that even people with disabilities have no obstacles when interacting with or accessing digital content. Digital information and services are accessible when everyone can easily notice and understand them, including those with visual, auditory, motor, or cognitive disabilities.

The Law on Accessibility of Web Sites and Software Solutions for Mobile Devices of Public Sector Bodies has been passed.

Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 26 October 2016 on the accessibility of the websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies has been adopted.

ACCESSIBILITY FEATURES FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES

Here we will list the methods we used, and the accessibility features that the pages contain to make them as accessible as possible to users – people with visual impairments (color blindness, visual impairment, blindness), motor disabilities (partial or complete loss of hands, muscle weakness, involuntary movements, tremor, loss of fine motor skills), hearing (hearing loss, partial or complete), and certain learning disabilities (language, reading, dyslexia, writing). The website of www.premifab.hr can be viewed on a wide range of screen sizes, while the text size can also be scaled according to users’ needs. Additionally, the pages have a search engine and a page map at the footer, making it easy to find information.

NAVIGATING USING THE KEYBOARD

Most keyboards contain a Menu key, also known as Apps, which functions as a right click. For this purpose, JAWS suggests the NUMPAD STAR key combination.
The Tab key has some properties that are unique to this page.
Pressing the Tab key puts the focus on the first page item while pressing the Enter key will select a specific item.

We went over a range of different combinations of text and background colors to choose the appropriate contrast.
We made sure that color was not the only element that referred to information.
